About Horseshoe Bay Now
I'm Mark Meyers, the founder of Texas News Studio (TNS), an independent news and weather broadcasting project I've operated since 2016. I also created Highland Lakes Live, a local information website serving the wider Highland Lakes region.
After recently moving to Horseshoe Bay, Texas, I wanted to build something useful for the community I now call home. That's why I started Horseshoe Bay Now: a convenient place for residents, second-home owners and visitors to check the information that matters here.
What I'm trying to accomplish
My goal is to bring together local weather, Lake LBJ boating information, golf conditions, Hill Country aviation, real estate, markets and practical local resources in one easy-to-use website. Instead of searching across many different services, you can start here and follow links to official sources when needed.
I have a bachelor's degree in Emergency Management from the University of North Texas and a GIS certification from Brookhaven College. That background helps shape my interest in weather, maps and practical public information.
Independent and community-supported
Horseshoe Bay Now is a small independent project, not a government or city website. My hope is to keep it useful, accessible and affordable to operate through modest local advertising and optional visitor support. As the site develops, I'll focus on reliable information and features people actually use, rather than adding things just to fill space.
Thanks for visiting and helping this new local project get started.
